Aderhold Funeral Home has been helping families cope with the loss of a loved one for well over 125 years. The Payne family has owned and operated the funeral home since April of 1963 and has maintained that ownersip for three generations. The cornerstones of our service since that time has been and will continue to be faith, family, compassion, and community. We are grateful to be a part of and work with the families of the West community and surrounding areas.

Chris worked for Aderhold Funeral Home from 1996 to 1998 while he was a student at West High School and has been a longtime friend of the Payne family. After high school, Chris went into Law Enforcement where he worked for over 22 years, finally retiring as a Patrol Captain with the McLennan County Sheriff's Office. Chris earned his funeral director's license in January of 2021 and assisted Aderhold Funeral Home when he could, until he started as a full time Funeral Director in January of 2024. Chris has spent his entire adult life in public service and is honored to assist families in their time of need.
